Bennett's statement: My curiosity developed into fascination, which in turn became something of an obsession. I could not read enough about this strange American religion.

It's interesting that a man trained in Catholic doctrine - he should be quite familiar with the Bible, no? should think the Mormon religion strange.

I wasn't trained in any religion. I became a Christian but I never studied any of their manuals or catechisms or traditions. All I studied was the Bible. When God led me to the Mormon religion, very, very little of it seemed strange. It fits well with the Bible.
